Waterville Valley Recreation Department Day Camps

The Waterville Valley Recreation Department offers age-appropriate Summer Day Camp programs for kids & teens ages 4 - 15.  Camp activities include outdoor exploration, games, crafts, boating, rock climbing, theater, swimming, making new friends and FUN!

 

W.I.N.G.S.:  “Waterville Instruction in Nature and Games” is for kids ages 4 - 6.   A typical day includes a variety of organized games, crafts, cooking, outdoor exploration and play.  This program offers a variety of activities ideal for active youngsters ~ No nap times here!

 

 

S.O.A.R. :  “Summer Outdoor Adventures in Recreation” is designed for kids ages 7 - 9.  The SOAR program includes a variety of outdoor excursions such as swimming, hiking, canoeing, boating, active games, crafts, indoor climbing wall, and more.  A vast amount of time is spent outdoors; ideal for kids that enjoy exploring, playing & having FUN!

 

 

 

P.E.A.K. :  “Positive Environmental Activities for Kids” is a perfect program for ages 10 - 12.  PEAK adventures explore a variety of natural environments throughout the valley and surrounding areas.  Hiking, biking, discovering new swimming holes, indoor climbing, and kayaking are examples of a day - in - the - life as a PEAK’er.

 

 

 

S.U.M.M.I.T. :  “Summer Upon the Mountains Moving Independent Teens”   focuses on outdoor excursions such as biking, swimming, boating, bus trips, being “out and about” the Valley, and community service projects, for ages 12+.

time:  weekdays from 9 am - 4 pm ~ daily registration from 9 am - 9:15 am

(“Before Care” option available with pre-registration ONLY: 8 am; $5/child/day)

how much:  Rec Dept Natives $156 weekly per child ($148 by June 1)

Guests $169 weekly per child ($160 by June 1)

pass programs cannot be used for 1/2 day attendance

field trips:  Each Wednesday  all camp groups (excluding SUMMIT; not offered on

Wednesday) attend a field trip to various destinations.  Fees vary between $10 - $30/child, in addition

to the daily rate.

Waterville Valley Skateboard Camp

The Waterville Valley Skateboard Camp has been the driving force for overnight skate camps in New England since it first opened its doors in 2001. Whether you're a beginner or advanced skater, WV is the spot. Come skate and get tips from the coaching staff then head home with new tricks and a bunch of new friends!  The goal at WVSC is to provide a safe, fun and friendly environment for everyone.

Lodging

The campers & coaches will be staying at the Town Square Condominiums.  Located above the shops in Town Square, the condos have a full kitchen, living room and two full bathrooms, sleeps 6 .  Condos are equipped with TV, VCR & DVD players with skateboard videos to preview during their stay.

 

 

In conjunction with Skatecamp, Town Square Condominiums offer alternative activities such as:

  • Free Bike rentals - K2 all suspension, 18 speed mountain bikes.

  • Free Boat Rentals - paddleboats, canoes, and kayaks.

  • Free Use of the Athletic Center - Indoor/Outdoor pool, jacuzzis, saunas, steam rooms, running track, and game room.

  • Free Golf and Tennis

  • Free Hiking and swimming

 

 

Skate Park Tour

Another cool aspect of camp is our Skate Park Tour. Thursdays are the day to get out of the valley and head south. First stop is Eastern Boarder in Nashua, NH so campers can purchase some new gear. After EB, campers head off to one of southern New Hampshire’s skate parks for an afternoon session.

Deposit/Cancellation Policy

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required per session to reserve a spot by mail. The remaining payment is due 30 days before your camp session. Payment in full is appreciated

 

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made 30 days before camp session for full refund less deposit.  $100 is non-refundable.
